What is Registrar Lock?

A registrar lock is a security feature that safeguards your domain from unauthorized access, fraud, or potential theft by hackers.

As a protective measure, the registrar lock is usually enabled by default when you register or manage your domain.

This ensures that your domain remains under your control and reduces the risk of domain theft or unauthorized transfers.

However, if you decide to transfer your domain to a different registrar for any reason, you must first unlock the registrar lock before initiating the transfer process. By doing so, you allow the domain to be transferred to the new registrar smoothly and securely.
