How to remove Database Access?

Generally, the cPanel allows the remote server or web applications to access data that is hosted on your account. You can manage this access by adding a new user or removing the existing one if they try to access your account without the right credentials or if the cPanel won't allow them to use the databases. Here are the steps to remove database access through cPanel:

  • Login to your cPanel account.
  • Click on the MySQL databases under the database section.
  • Under the current database, you have a list of databases and privileged users.
  • Select the one from which you want to remove database access by clicking the delete option next to the username.
  • Next, revoke user privileges from the database to confirm your removal.
  • The confirmation message will pop up on the screen, mentioning that the user database has been successfully removed.

Removing a database user will revoke their access to any databases associated with that user. Ensure that you no longer need their access before proceeding.
