Default Address:
Setting a default email address is a worthy one for handling emails that are sent from non-existent or misspelled email addresses on your domain. For instance, if someone sends an email to an address that does not exist on your server, it will be routed to the default email.
Here are the steps to set a default email address:
- Login to your cPanel account.
- Click on the default address located under the email section.
- It will direct you to the page where you can set or change a default email address.
- Click the radio button next to the “forward to email address” option and enter the address in the text box.
- Now all the unrouted emails will be stored in this account.
- Additionally, you have two options under the Advanced section: either forward to your system account or pipe to your program.
- Click the “Change” option at the bottom, and you're done. Your default answer has been set.
Make sure the entered email address is a valid one, and you can click any one of the advanced options to ensure the message is handled according to your requirements.
