Restoring files typically involves retrieving previously saved versions of your data after it has been lost, corrupted, or accidentally deleted. Here are the steps to restore your files.
- Login to your cPanel account and click on the “Backup Restore” tool located under the “File” section.
- When you click on the tool, it will direct you to the next page where you can begin the restoration process.
- On the new page, you will be able to see the backup dates from which you can restore your files. Select the date you prefer and click the Browse button which is present next to the date option.
- After this, you can browse and select the files and folders that you would like to restore. Once you have finished making your selection, it will provide you with three options.
- Restore Selected: With this option, you can restore the selected file or folder to your hosting account. This process takes some time to complete. Once it is finished, you can restore the file from the backup date.
- Download Selected: This option allows you to download the selected files/folders to your PC.
- Send Selected to Agent: By selecting this option, you will be able to restore your files and folders to your home folder in your hosting account. It will be restored in a compressed format. Whenever you need the file, you can restore or download it.
- After selecting the file, click the “Restore” button. It will prompt for confirmation. Click to confirm the restoration. It takes a few minutes to restore your file. Once it is done, a message will pop up on the screen confirming that the file has been successfully restored. Based on your preference, you can select any one of the options to restore your file.
